Ananda Teacher Training 2019-2020
Yoga Teacher Training isn’t only for those who wish to teach. It’s for anyone with the desire to deepen their practice of asana (postures), pranayama (breath work), and meditation. It’s for those who are willing to dive into the depths of themselves, who choose to commit to a never ending process of self-study, or svadhyaya.
Our Yoga Alliance-registered 8-month program is focused on sadhana, or practice. It is internal exploration with an emphasis on yogic ethics and philosophy, intelligent and purposeful alignment from in-depth study of anatomy and physiology, and the development of your own voice, your own teaching style, and your most liberated self in your life.
This training will concentrate on Hatha yoga, Vinyasa, Pranayama, and Meditation with in-depth overviews of Yin, Restorative, Astanga and Pilates. It will include focused study of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, the Bhagavad Gita, and the Upanishads.
It’s about living your best life by getting real with yourself. Discovering what is possible. Working to find the edge of your boundaries to mold them into the shape of your choosing.
This year’s Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) will be an intimate experience - we will cap the number of participants at 10. This ensures that we can cater the experience towards the needs of the trainees, and each trainee can have ample individual attention and coaching.
No prerequisites are necessary. Your curiosity and commitment are enough.
