Yoga for the Young at Heart
Rasayana is a yoga sequence that promotes longevity and health. Designed for students with limited mobility, tight joints and a sense of humor about the accumulative effects of aging and injury. The practice begins with breath-work, meditation and gentle stretching, followed by a muscle strengthening flow that is done at your own pace. This class is open to all levels but is specifically designed with the older student in mind.
Come give it a try. Chairs are available for students who are not comfortable on the floor. Props including bolsters, blankets, blocks and sandbags help with alignment and stability. Instructions are clear and concise and delivered with empathy and understanding of each individuals limitations.
Rasayana is being offered in six week blocks.
